Resumo:
The importance of entrepreneurship for global development gained prominence in various nations, this
fact has caused agencies to support small business and entrepreneurial training programs were created.
Based on this fact the present work aimed to investigate the impacts of Empretec program in Campina
Grande, Paraíba. The Seminar Empretec is a training developed by the United Nations (UN) for
entrepreneurs, being developed in Brazil exclusively SEBRAE. Regarding methodology, a case of
study consisting of a questionnaire applied to participants Empretec in Campina Grande and
documentary survey was made by the SEBRAE. It was found that 70% of participants have become
entrepreneurs in the county and the percentage of unemployed post-seminar was 0%, in addition the
insert entrepreneurial spirit, it also gave the Empretec enabled these entrepreneurs. Then, it was found
that the Empretec workshop encouraged participants to empower better as their bigger needs, have
your own business, as well as reduced unemployment among participants. The survey also realizes the
need for further studies regarding the difficulty of spreading the entrepreneurial culture, as well as the
distance between small businesses and academic studies.
