Throughout history, man has been exploring natural resources inappropriately, considering the environment as a place of purchase of raw materials and waste disposal. Productive activities and economic growth have generated major impacts to the environment and meant that companies were increasingly adopting environmental management models and tools, both by government enforcement and realize the importance of sustainable development. As an environmental management methodologies adopted by companies, the cleaner production (CP). In this sense, the present work has as its main objective to analyze the aspects of cleaner production through a comparative study on construction companies in the city of Campina Grande-PB. To achieve this goal, it was used as a descriptive and exploratory research methodology, the study method of multiple cases, with a quantitative approach, the production of the data occurred through structured interview with the engineers responsible, allowing a comparative analysis between the companies investigated, as regards levels of the application and relevance of cleaner production. The study revealed that, in the perception of engineers responsible for the three companies surveyed the construction sector in the city of Campina Grande-PB consider as very relevant to cleaner production to their businesses, while its implementation is more significant in two of the companies studied. In this sense, it is concluded that there is recognition of the importance of cleaner production, having already incorporating some aspects by the companies, but emphasized the need for a planned and guided by an appropriate methodology to generate consistent results for the companies in the sector.
