was possible to identify 15 local indicators and assess the level of sustainability
dimensions: economic, social and environmental, of two groups of family agroecosystems, farming the fruits and vegetables in the city of Sape - PB. Data analysis
was given from the data triangulation technique. The results showed family group
adopting agroecological practices show a better level if sustainability both when
individually analyzed each dimension, the weighted three dimensions. Have the group
adopts conventional practices showed lower results in all three dimensions when
compared to the first group, thus presenting the lowest level of overall sustainability.
We can conclude that the group adopts agroecological practices, contributes more to the
sustainability fruits and vegetables cultivation, than the group that adopts conventional
practices.
