Résumé:
The bullying was so named by the author Hirigoyen in 1998. Years later became interest of
study of different areas of knowledge, due to the severity of the consequences brought to the
individual, organization and society. What characterizes this evil is the frequency with which
the victim suffers the damage. Many organizational factors may trigger this evil and therefore
companies must develop practices to combat it. Therefore, this study sought to examine the
practices of prevention and intervention in combating bullying at work, from the perspective
of men and women, staff of the Banco X in Campina Grande city, PB. For this, the
methodology used was the descriptive research in the form of a case study, having as a
research instrument, the questionnaire. The sample consisted of 21 men and 19 women, a total
of 40 employees of the 6 agencies visited. For the treatment of the data was used for statistical
procedures: average, standard deviation, coefficient of variation and Spearman's correlation
coefficient. The results showed that, in the perception of men and women, there is within the
bank practices of prevention and intervention to combat bullying. Correlation was found
between the responses between male and female, but that generated divergence of opinion
were not the same for both sexes. The suggestions given reaffirmed practices listed in the
questionnaire. It was concluded that the Banco X develops practices that assist in combating
bullying; however, there is a need for insisting that they are visible to everyone in the
organization.
