Abstract:
Logistics corresponds to the flow of materials and information in organizations, being a
differentiator for companies that receive and deliver their materials at the time and place.
Therefore companies cargo carriers gain notoriety. This paper aims to describe how
companies that perform activities trucking, installed in Campina Grande, manage your
logistics to meet the market, specifically a case study on the cargo carriers Transportadora de
carga Rápido Figueiredo and Transportadora de carga Marajó. The research used a semistructured interview structured to conduct interviews with those responsible for logistics
management in these companies, most notably, the administrative assistant of the
Transportadora de carga Rápido Figueiredo and manager of Transportadora de Cargas
Marajó. The results obtained allowed to individually characterize the work of the two
companies and perform comparative analysis to identify the main differences and similarities
between these companies. Thus, the main results, it was found that the two companies use IT
in their activities and both need to outsource equipment and manpower to operate its services.
