Résumé:
This study aimed to verify the management of solid waste and its problems in a hospital in the
city of Campina Grande. To assist in the diagnosis, we conducted a qualitative study that
encompassed literature, direct observation and application of a structured interview with the
people who work directly with the hospital solid waste in which it was possible to verify how
the allocation occurs by the same part of the study hospital. It was observed that the hospital
has adequate resources and materials to meet the standards for the management of Solid
Waste Health, but still, it is noticed that some professional piercing material rule biting
improperly and hesitate to use all Personal Protective Equipment required for your safety,
which increases the risk of contamination. The results obtained in this research showed the
concern that professionals who deal with solid waste services have on health is always
seeking and imparting knowledge to other professionals so that the waste has a better
management and causing minor damage to both the environment as those who manipulate
you.
