Resumen:
The advances originated by the evolution of computer technology and the current
facilities for companies to position themselves in society through the Internet brought with it
the recognition that information is the most valuable asset of an organization. Institutions are
also maturing the idea that institutional memorials can serve as sources of organizational
knowledge, strengthening existing relationships in the company by valuing people and facts
relevant to the institution and the society which it serves. This paper presents the results of the
study carried out at Embrapa Cotton, more specifically in memorial JIC (memorial of the
founder of Embrapa Irenaeus José Cabral), with the goal of designing an information system
specific to the optimization of existing processes that also serves as a tool for disclosure of the
institution with the local society and to support collaborative construction of organizational
memory. To design this system we conducted a survey and user-centric performance
indicators Memorial JIC Embrapa Cotton. Data were collected through semi-structured
interviews and analyzed using the methodology (ISM Inovation Making Sense) project
computerized work environment (workflow). In reviewing the results were all identified
weaknesses in existing processes Memorial JIC, and their improvement was proposed a
model of computerized work environment (workflow) considering the perceptions of those
involved in the perspectives of managers, servers and users ( teachers and students in public
schools) system designed.
