Resumen:
Brazil is formed mostly by small businesses, which are inserted in an increasingly competitive
market and it is essential that some competitiveness tools are developed. Innovation is an
essential source of competitiveness for survival and differentiation of companies, through it,
new products, processes and services are offered to customers. But for it to be developed
more efficiently, some practices should be adopted by organizations. Therefore these
practices should be identified, for companies, especially smaller ones, may seek ways to
become more competitive. In this scenario the company '' M collages Ind e Com. '' Presents
itself as an organization that seeks to develop innovation, from a model to help you more
effectively in this process Therefore this study aims: Sort whether the management practices
in the industry '' M collages '' favor the development of innovation, from the model proposed
by Oliveira (2006). Using as descriptive research methodology through a case study that
introduced the context found in the organization, for the development of innovation. The
analysis was made of the information quantitatively, collecting data through non-participant
observation and questionnaires. With this study can be seen that the practices you love the
company M collages favor the development of innovation, but that some essential need
improvement. And that regardless of the market, small businesses can also be quite
innovative, just have a culture which encourages the same. Finally there was the shortage
that exists in relation to studies on innovation applied in small and midsize businesses.
