Abstract:
This work aims to analyze the training and development program applied to technical and
administrative staff of a public higher education institution. Thus, the research has a qualitative approach, and with regard to the purposes is considered descriptive, it describes how the
training program carried out in the institution under study, and as to the means is a case study,
since the search depth knowledge of the subject within the institution and using the interview
as the data collection instrument applied in the Personal Development industry. It is felt that
an organization does not exist without these people and in addition to relate to each other have
skills, knowledge, motivation and different attitudes. In this regard the institutions require a
department that can work to balance these individual characteristics so that organizational
goals can be achieved. The Human Resources or Personnel Management has as one of its duties to the implementation of actions and programs for Training and Development providing
better training of its employees. This process also allows the company can stay ahead of its
competitors following the development and modernization of its processes also provides an
appreciation of its employees making them feel more motivated. Public organizations that still
transmit for some people to view extremely bureaucratic institutions, whose servers are considered accommodated has shown a change in the vision to organize plans for jobs and careers
and training programs of their servers, so you can follow the development of other organizations and provide better service to society. The survey results showed that the institution has
training and development programs with procedures similar to those described in the theoretical framework emphasizing the importance of learning to the development of institutions. Has
also revealed that the relationship between the plan for jobs and wages and training and development programs strategically worked by the institution, but were also indicated some difficulties due to legal issues and financial difficulties.
