Résumé:
The present research has the purpose to analyze the implementation of public action regarding Aedes Aegypti eradication in the municipality of Sumé from 2009 to 2013. The year of 2014 has not been taken into account due to incomplete data. The research specifically presents the number of cases and problems that obstruct joint actions to control the spread of disease. The article had bibliographical research as a method, along with data collected from local health authorities (Secretaria Municipal de Saúde). As a result, data officially provided by the City Hall show the efficacy of the interventions executed in order to control Dengue Fever in the municipality. Many cases should be reported as Dengue Fever but they are mostly reported as a viral disease. Besides that, one of the conditions required by Federal Authorities is a joint action between Board of Education, Health and Environment. However, the joint effort does not work as expected and the city plans to fight the vector is not fully accomplished. In addition to that situation, the imprudence of local residents, despite all advertisement campaigns in the media, still behaves in a manner that helps the spread of the mosquito Aedes Aegypti and the disease.
