Resumo:
The present paper is the result of a field research referenced in theoretical premises related to school management in the countryside, and on the other hand, our object of study portrays the reality lived by this kind of management. For that, we have taken as a reference to the analysis the Municipal School Arnaldo Tavares, located in the rural area in the city of Sumé/PB, whose teaching system is made in multi-year classes and the teacher also accumulates the function of manager. The analysis of the work is based on presential data collections in the classroom, as well as on the interview with the teacher herself. In this sense, is listed a series of problems that the countryside schools face nowadays. Such as: lack of a school management team, with directors, secretaries and pedagogical coordination of the schools, which makes it impossible to have more time for the specific teaching tasks, as: planning, elaboration of didactic material and individualized monitoring. The little and misused physical space in the schools withmulti-year classes receive students from different ages, leading to dispersions and low concentration of class etc. The study is divided into three chapters that present the objectives, description of the research field, theoretical grounds related to the analysis of the researched material and the obtained results. We consider that this paper brings contributions on reflecting about the Countryside school management considering the quality of the multi-year classes.
