Abstract:
This work is to show the educational process of the Association of Family Producers of Agroecological Sumé (APFAS), from its origin to the present day, discussing the issues that are inherent to this learning. It starts the debate on eco-environmental crisis, highlighting the changes caused by human actions on the environment, particularly to the modern capitalist society. In this context, agriculture has been seen with a practice that has caused severe damage to the environment, either by excessive use of pesticides, is also the use of heavy machinery, causing soil erosion, scarcity of natural resources and other assaults on nature . As a way to overcome this crisis are now discussing the theme sustainable development. Although comprehensive, the topic of sustainability in agriculture when thought, relates directly to the prospect of agroecology that, in turn, is seen as a way to produce without destroying the environment, integrating man and nature. Therefore, it is concluded that educational experiences developed within the APFAS, have been working mainly on the awareness of people, changing even the practices of producers as well as consumer habits.
