Abstract:
Being the music, a form of sociocultural, historical and ideological representation, we have aimed, in this paper, to identify the representation that José Marcolino had on the Hinterland. At first we observe a brief history of the social place of the author and his biography, emphasizing his meeting with Luiz Gonzaga in the city of Sumé PB and, then, some lyrics of their conceptions will be analyzed regarding their representation of the Hinterland. We have chosen the bibliographical, qualitative and the Oral History research, and the concept of representation in the thinking of the historian Roger Chartier.
