Abstract:
This study deals with the aspects that cause Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and Occupational
Diseases Related with Work (RSI) and serves to analyse the jobs of cutters in a Company
called Company X, in order to prepare the specifications of ergonomic recommendations
(ECRE) to the activity of the cutter sandals. This is an exploratory research therefore aims to
take an overview of the events analyzed, explaining a specific issue and descriptive, therefore,
the analysis uses observation and description of these facts. We used a randomly selected
sample in order to answer the following basic question: Is there likelihood of employees of
Company X acquired RSI, the activity of the cutter sandals, depending on the conditions and
patterns of work? Were further studies in ergonomics, work postures and the consequences
caused to the worker by virtue of work (RSI and RSI), which represent serious injury and
illness and that currently fall under the heading of many workers. The methodology used for
the development of the work were the GUT and OCRA methodology and it is given for
instruments to analyze repetitive occupational activities. Given the methodologies used, the
results obtained and discussions made it possible to say that there is likelihood of the operator
and contracting RSI RSI due to repeated movements and patterns of work used in the working
day.
