Sistemas de indicadores de sustentabilidade: a aplicação do pressão-estado-impacto-resposta sobre a problemática dos resíduos sólidos em Campina Grande – PB.

Abstract

The constant changes that come occurring in everybody stir up the population to reorganize its form of thought. Currently, it is having a redirecionamento of the economic questions for the social matters and ambient, since the inefficiency was perceived that has of a separate aspect of the other. This fact becomes related closely with the concept of sustainable development, which cousin for the use of diverse information so that it has a balance between its basic criteria, which are: social equity, economic growth and ambient preservation. The present work is based on the agreement of one of these dimensions, the ambient one. So that one determined locality can get adequate an ambient quality, the observed diverse ambient questions in the same one must be favorable to the environment and the society. For in such a way, as specific focus of study, was opted to the problematic one of the solid residues, has seen that the same one affects the sustainable development of the locality, therefore not only intervenes with the environment, as well as in the economy and the social aspects. In this direction the general objective of this study if relates to the elaboration of a diagnosis on the problematic one of the solid residues in Campina Grande - PB, from the application of the System of Pointers of the Sustentabilidade Pressure-State-Impact-Reply, in the direction to recognize as the ambient quality of the city is affected by the problematic one. After the collection of data and primary and secondary information, complemented for the use of direct comment, could be carried through the triangulation of the way data such that facilitated to the agreement and the aiming of the context to the objective previously considered. Thus being, when identifying the aggressive pressures of the activity human being that are being practised on the environment, the situation of the state which the same if finds, the impacts caused for these pressures in the state of the environment and the had answers that are being generated for this context, it was verified that the situation of Campina Grande is critical, since the same one possesss only one unit of processing and the generation of the residues not for of growing. In this direction, the diagnosis of this ambient question in the city presents many deficiencies and possible attitudes that can be taken so that the situation of this can arrive at a platform of ambient balance, thus improving the sustentabilidade of the city.
