Resumo:
This research had as theme of study the music in childhood education and investigated it from the following problem: What can teach the musical repertoire of/in childhood education? In this sense, its general objective was to understand what can teach this repertoire, having adopted the following specific objectives: to list the repertoire of songs of childhood education; identify the themes and utterances emitted in these songs; and to point out the possible teachings undertaken by the musical repertoire of childhood education. Its methodology was based on a survey of the songs most used by five teachers of Early Childhood Education in the public school of the city of Cajazeiras – PB and the analysis of the content of the messages of these songs, starting from the operationalization of the techniques of thematic analysis and enunciation from the perspective of Bardin (1977). As a result, the study allowed the identification of a series of themes and statements capable of making possible learning about masculine and feminine roles, behaviors and attitudes, affectivity and self-care, and aspects related to survival, passing through matters with the ability to educate children, such as: marriage; female affective submission; social place; freedom; solitude and meaning of life; beauty standards; personal hygiene; housework; naturalization of violence; spread of fear; ill-treatment of animals; punishment as corrective disciplinary; lie; disobedience.
