Résumé:
This research hás the aim of presenting the contributions of educational practices
towards the living in the semi arid region in the Northeast of Brazil among the students,
families, associations and the community as a whole, fomenting strategies and actions
following the sustentability approach. This study focus relationship between educational
practices at Drive Municipal Kindergarten and Elementary School Rodolofo Santa Cruz
and educational and productive activities at AMUABAS – the association of residents
and users of Sumé Pond in the countryside at Sumé town in Cariri region at state of
Paraiba in the Northeast of Brazil. We raise the question about the influences of
educational practices developed at UMEIEF Rodolfo Santa Cruz to contributing with
the community work at the association. Thus, this work shows that contextualized
educational practice for the semi arid is solution to build an educational proposal that
may correspond the expectations of the inhabitants of the semi arid region at Northeast
of Brazil.
