Resumo:
The present study sought to understand the profile woman entrepreneur active in the retail technology sector in the city of Campina Grande-PB. Therefore, we sought to analyze the entrepreneurial characteristics, identify the difficulties and challenges faced, and see if there entrepreneurship by necessity or opportunity among women interviewed branch. The theoretical sought to discuss aspects related to entrepreneurship, showing key concepts and approaches, contextualizing the inclusion of women in the sector under study. To achieve the proposed objectives we conducted a qualitative, descriptive, with five women who were ahead of their own business for over five years and may be members or not. Data collection was through interviews using a semi-structured. The stories were recorded, transcribed and tabulated. The data analysis followed the technique of content analysis. The results indicate a similarity between entrepreneurial characteristics analyzed in this study with results observed in other studies, such as entrepreneurial, a dream come true; ability to transform ideas and expectations into reality. It was found that the interviewees were not moved by need, but by chance, passion and like what they do. Finally, suggestions were made for future studies.
