Resumo:
The present work aims to analyze the discourses produced on Clementino Procópio in the city of Campina Grande-PB, in the newspapers, yearbooks and in the writings of chroniclers and memorialists, we will discuss through these sources how these discourses constructed identities for Clementino Procópio, some of these, if kept alive in the memory of the campinense, mainly after his death in 1935. The documentation that we consulted are newspapers that circulated in Paraíba and in Pernambuco in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Among these publications, we highlight the newspaper "a União" (1935) in the capital of Paraíba and the "Evolução Jornal" (1935) in Campina Grande. The two media produced speeches concerning the death of the educator, which allows us to problematize the subject through a biographical perspective from Vavy Pacheco Borges. Imbued by these considerations we will analyze the multiple faces adopted by the Professor throughout his life in the city of Campina Grande-PB and his trajectory before that city. We will approach the discourses produced by chroniclers and memorialists, such as Ribeiro, Terceiro Neto and Dinoá, who present the teacher in the classroom, and through these reports we will discuss the behavior of the preceptor with the students, the applied methodology and the image that the students they had the educator. In addition to these questions, we will also examine the places of memory that produce memories about the educator. From the theoretical-methodological point of view we approach Michel Foucault regarding the analysis of discourse. On the concept of identity we appropriate Stuart Hall for understanding that the subject studied throughout his life had different identities. We will also work with the concept of memory as a document-monument to use this perception was essential reading Jacques Le Goff. The theoretical contribution of these authors and the methodological paths that I will go through will allow to reach the proposed objectives.
