Resumen:
This paper aims to present the relevance of the Scholarship Program Initiation to Teaching-PIBID when graduating students of Degree in Social Sciences, considering that this program aims to enrich intellectual and theoretical and practical them. The study aims to present how the policy of teacher education is set in a Brazilian context. It is a fact that the Ministry of Education has adopted a series of policies, the search for qualified primary school teachers. The Institutional Program Initiation Scholarship to Teaching (PIBID), has been a great bet to train more teachers and better teachers, fellow starting the degree course in your future field of work, school. The monograph aims also to analyze the impacts of the Scholarship Program Initiation to Teaching (PIBID) while a policy of permanence of undergraduates in Higher Education. For data collection, interviews were made with the scholarship students Subproject Sociology Center for Sustainable Development of Semi-Arid CDSA / UFCG. The results show that the PIBID allows licensed Social Sciences course to have contact with the school environment, participate in scientific meetings and exchanges, enabling them to better teaching qualification. In addition, this program provides the student with a scholarship that allowed the same materials and defray his expenses to dedicate the activities of the university, more fully. Indeed, the accounts collected indicate that without this financial help, many would exercise a gainful activity and, consequently, if distanciariam the academic space. Thus PIBID, has been relieved as a successful policy in teacher education.
