Abstract:
As a didactic modality, Youth and Adult Education is a recognized right for all those who are outside the appropriate age range for regular education, providing knowledge in all areas for the formation of critical and participative citizens. Thus, Biology must be taught in a dynamic and participative way, considering the context in which the students are inserted. The present study aimed to introduce new methodologies and didactic-pedagogical actions for the YAE in order to encourage the interest of the students in the Biology classes taught in a more contextualized and dynamized way. Didactic classes, games and evaluative questionnaires were used as methodological procedures. The results obtained through the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the activities show that the students participated actively and interacted more among themselves, resulting in positive responses to the questions asked during the execution of the activities. The results also demonstrate that new strategies used in teaching Biology in the YAE can facilitate learning, since they provided a better understanding of the contents approached in the classroom.
