This paper aims to describe the school feeding in public schools Serra Branca -
Paraiba, contextualizing it in the learning of pupils surveyed. He uses concepts
essential to the study: agriculture, family fanning, the national school feeding
program, among others. Thus, the study shall evaluate in practice using the public
schools in their school lunches and snacks to emphatically demonstrate the
requirement of daily meals for the students who attend, these students often poor
and low income, which depend on many times of school meals to feed
themselves. The questionnaires used in the public schools of the study seeks to
understand the importance of school lunches for students, contextualizing the
teaching and learning in the classroom. It is observed that there is a major concern of
public managers in buying school lunches family farming, however, that concern
arises from the law, and not human and social concerns of managers, which should
have a greater mobilization in pursuit of quality life for the society it represents. It is
seen also that the family farmers have organized more power and voice in the
discussion forums, social movements in general, to organize production and facilitate
access to markets local / regional, demonstrating to society that family food producer
is diverse and ever improving quality, by not using pesticide products, and therefore
more healthy, but slightly more expensive. It is particularly essential to change the
perception that there is school feeding for malnourished and needy students, but that
this should be seen as a meal to keep the students fed while at school, regardless of
their economic situation, and not as a mechanism to eradicatemalnutrition of the
students. Contextualized education thus represents the largest outlet for the
alienation experienced by the working class and their children.
