Abstract:
Amid the latest tools to support organizational communication, Information and
Communications Technologies have gained more space in organizations both private and
public. Thus, the search for ways to improve and streamline communication increased and the
access to social networks has become a tool both for personal and professional use and is
increasingly present in daily life and business. The objective of this study was to analyze the
impact of social networks on the productivity of public servants from Departments of
Administration and Finance of the City of Campina Grande. The methodology used for the
execution of this research was the study of multiple cases through documentation and
questionnaires, having as research subjects public employees of departments of
Administration and Finance, both located in the center of Campina Grande - PB. It was used
was the quantitative and qualitative analysis method to data processing, which allowed to
evaluate and reflect on how to use social networks by those servers in their work
environments. Regarding the results, it was identified that the use of social networks has no
impact on the productivity of the servers of both departments, but managers could be more
attentive to the use of this technology, which can become a very effective business tool.
