Abstract:
This work presents the results of a survey conducted in a municipal Day- Care Center in São João do Rio do Peixe-PB, in order to analyze the importance that parents and teachers attach to Early Childhood Education; Understanding the role of professor of this kind of education in the child's development process; Identify the contributions of parents in child development process with the school. As theoretical contribution was used the following authors BRAZIL(2009); Oliveira(2007); Bujes(2001); BARBOSA(2009); Sambrano(2010) and LDB(Law of Directives and Bases of Education). The methodology was characterized of a case study with exploratory, since the purpose was to thoroughly study the design of parents and teachers in the teaching learning in kindergarten. Thus, the study focused on the analysis of two semi structured questionnaires applied both for the teachers as for mom. The questionnaire for the teachers contained seven questions and the mothers six questions. The results show that both the teachers and the mothers understand the importance of early childhood education, but do not seek to act on their knowledge, thus leaving much to be desired.
