Abstract:
This monograph approaches the questions about the school community participation
in the consolidation of democratic administration that is executed by the school
community participation in the whole process of decision-making. For this study, we
used a literature search and a followed by and then was used as an instrument for
data collection interview with three managers of municipal public schools of the City
of São José de Piranhas/PB. In order to understand how the participation of the
school community in consolidating a democratic management in the school
environment. For both, which is based on a democratic process in school
management is decentralization of power was centralized only in the manager and
he alone decided the future of the school, but with the decentralization
responsibilities are shared with everyone collectively on that everyone has the right
to decide the future of the institution and also in the construction of collective
Pedagogical Political School Project that enables contribute to the quality of school
education. However, the participation of the school community isn’t based only in
decision making but since the beginning of this process, as well as in its
implementation at the time to put into practice what was decided. So, this work is of
great value to all who look for to modify their practice of school management,
adapting to the needs of a new educational landscape, looking for appropriate
training for managers, teachers and all school staff work so that it can improve the
process of teaching and learning and provide an emancipatory and democratic
education.
