Resumo:
The present work sought to make an analysis on education of the deaf people and the
proposals of adaptations for attend the deaf students specificities in the school, aimed at the
constitution of subjectivity and socialization. For this research was used the many authors
conception, seach as: Damazio and Alves (2010), Goldfeld (2002), Slomski (2010), Megale
(2005), Dorziat (2011), among othres. Aims to identify how the deaf education was designed
In the oficial documents, in the view of changes and educational proposals for this public in
the last few decades. The reseach was held though bibliographic survey relevant to the topic,
as well as the critical analysis and the production of new knowledge. Therefore, was made an
analyzes of the advances and decline in the deaf education, seeking the historical
contributions which culminated in the present educational proposal in the Brazil. Initially, we
approach the educational experiences for the deaf people, we associate the views that society
formed about the student based on therapeutic clinical perspectives and in the anthropological
and cultural. We treat the relations between bilingualism and deafness, raise questions about
definitions and classification of the bilingualism as individual skill and educational proposal.
Finally, we traced the bilingualism concept and its relation with the inclusive proposal
presented by official documents. In assessing observed data that the legislation contains many
actions seen as necessary for education of the deaf, however, it is necessary rethinking the
role and the action of the school and this transformation occur with the action of all involved
in the process, whether they, family, others students, teachers, supporting professional of
education and school staff aware of its relevance in the process, they have the possibility of
include signals language as another language to be used, not only in the classroom, but in
their communities.
