Abstract:
It is common practice of some teachers using the drawing as a hobby governing pre-prepared activities. For this research have guided the study of texts in Lopes (2009), Tourrette (2009), Palacios (2008) and Silva and Tavares (2001), among others. We had as objective to analyze how teachers describe the drawing in kindergarten; Observe the activities involving the design, developed by teachers, for children; Investigate how the teacher works building design in the classroom and identify the resources and techniques used during the development of children's drawing. The exploratory research and qualitative approach has the audience of teachers Municipal Kindergartens city of Pombal-PB. The instruments used for data collection were Observation, Sociodemographic Questionnaire and semi-structured interview. The results indicate that, although not in the period of observation, the teachers in the interview, indicate the importance of the child's drawing as a way to express their thoughts, ideas, wishes and desires; means of communication; know the students and their reality; child's ability to create and recreate the world and as a way of working motor coordination. However, the period of observation we find that many of the drawing activities yet also offered to children from the perspective of traditional education, preventing them from demonstrating their skills. Thus, we conclude that the design and contribute to the holistic development of children, more needs to be understood and consistently worked in Early Childhood Education.
