Resumo:
The objective of this work is to discuss school inclusion as a praxis, problematizing its
relations established with contemporary society. In the daily school life, inclusion
presupposes a teaching articulated in heterogeneity and diversity and based on
differences. We thus analyze the impacts of inclusion and the treatment that the
society employs to this question, taking as research space the school CEEIGEF
(Center of Special Education Integrated Geny Ferreira), which is a discursively
inclusive institution, located in the city of Sousa-PB. The institution has experienced a
differentiated work based on inclusion and is a reference in the backlands of Paraíba,
a space still lacking in the implementation of public policies that increase the access
and permanence of people with disabilities in the school environment. The work is a
case study and to guide the reflections that guided the same, we use as reference
the perspectives of BATALLA (2009) LOPES (2011), SANCHES (2006) among other
researchers, who have important reflections in the area of inclusion.
