Resumo:
This work presents a reflection on the performance of the students in the Pedagogy course at
the Júlio Bandeira University Hospital located in the city of Cajazeiras-PB. The problem that
guided this research sought to understand the vision that the professionals who make up the
hospital staff, especially the managers, have about the practice of students of Pedagogy for
humanization in hospital. In this way, this monograph aims to understand the performance of
the students of the Pedagogy Course in the process of humanization under the Governance
Vision of the Hospital Universitário Júlio Bandeira and, as specific objectives, To analyze the
importance of the participation of future pedagogues in the hospital environment, Reflect on
the understanding of the Governance of the Hospital Universitário Júlio Bandeira regarding
the term humanization through the actions developed by the students of the Pedagogy course,
Report the pedagogical activities developed by the students of Pedagogy at the Hospital
Universitário Júlio Bandeira to enable the learning of hospitalized patients. In this research we
chose a qualitative approach, Ludke and André (1986), field research for the production of
data by means of follow-up and interviews with representatives of the respective hospital unit
management sectors. Authors such as Esteves (2008), Peters (2015), Lopes (2010), Wolf
(2007), among others, also bring their contributions and problematizations to think about this
field of action of the pedagogue. Regarding the results, the information presented in this study
as a function of the performance of Pedagogy students in the HUJB, demonstrate the
importance of the work developed by these students for the continuation of studies with
children and adolescents in hospitalization condition, for the adaptation of the child and
adolescent in the daily hospital and for the humanization of the environment.
