Resumen:
With increased competition between companies and the search for a competitive advantage,
logistics activities which in the past was seen as generating costs, it becomes a strategic area
for companies in today's business context. Moreover, with the increasing population in urban
centers, increases the difficulties for industries meet the consumer directly, with that comes
the need for intermediaries in the process. In this scenario develops in the wholesale
distribution industry, responsible for reducing the distance between the manufacturer and the
final consumer through logistical systems, introduced in Brazil in the 50s. Given the above,
this study aims to diagnose the physical distribution logistics process of a company of the
wholesale sector in Campina Grande. As methodology, the research was classified as
descriptive, corresponding to a case study, conducted from a qualitative analysis. As data
collection, we used the semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and documents of the
company. Observed in the results that the company has studied all the resources necessary for
carrying out activities to provide a high level of customer service, but faces problems such as
lack of strategic space for storage and targeting sales teams, among others affect the activities.
