The study addresses the pedagogical practices of teachers in day care: challenges in education, taking into account the reality of educators and children. In this sense, this research presented as objectives: to analyze the main challenges, the relationships, and pedagogical practices developed by the teachers in the Day Care Center; Identify the main challenges faced in day-to-day childcare; To ascertain the relations built between teachers teachers for the teaching-learning process. And describe the pedagogical practices developed in the classroom. The locus chosen for the investigation was the nursery located in the city of Pombal-PB in the Sertão of Paraíba. This study was based on a descriptive bibliographic research with the aid of articles, books, complemented by field research in a qualitative approach, with the purpose of meeting the objectives defined in this study. With regard to data collection, it was carried out from a semi-structured interview, with four teachers, aiming according to the reports of the same to obtain the expected objectives of the research, relating it to the theoretical reflections of some authors that approach this theme. In this perspective, the purpose reached revealed that in order to face certain challenges, teachers work towards the development and formation of children, by a harmonious and dynamic dimension, placing in the part of caring and educating relationships of affection, but also of limits, once That a major problem faced is the family's lack of commitment. In this way, the teachers carry out their practice with the objective of promoting in children the awakening of skills and abilities, as well as the autonomy of children, considering that they are instructing the individual to exercise citizenship. Therefore, the study of this theme aims to awaken in the educator a reflection for a meaningful practice that considers the cultures, the autonomy and the different knowledge.
