Resumo:
The present study addresses the inclusion of the deaf student in the initial grades of
elementary education, revealing the educational proposals for the deaf, the assumptions and
legislation applied to inclusive politics, the education of the deaf and the necessary
adaptations for the implementation of bilingual education for the deaf in the regular school.
The objective general of the research is to investigate the education of the deaf in the regular
education system in the initial years of elementary education, in an inclusive perspective,
identifying the legal determinations for this practice. In order to approach the respective
theme, we carried out a bibliographical research in which we used books, magazines and
articles by authors who worked on this theme. However, the analysis of the research made us
understand that the inclusion of deaf students in a regular school is a practice guaranteed by
law and that there are numerous possibilities to work in a way that meets the specifics of these
students, however, we need to know these adaptations to implement In schools and transform
them into more inclusive social spaces.
