Résumé:
The present work deals with how business logistics activities are carried out in a meat and dairy distributor in the city of Campina Grande - PB, identifying through a diagnosis, improvement opportunities for the management of existing processes in the company. As a methodology, a descriptive and qualitative research was developed, consisting of a bibliographical review on the subject in question and a case study. Data were collected through observations through a participant survey conducted by the author and by interviews. The results showed some problems faced by the company, such as the need for improvements in some primary and support logistics activities, some adjustments to the required technical and sanitary standards and the need for investments in physical structure. For being it is a small and start-up company, the research was perceived in the economic limitations faced by it that justify the fact that the company has not yet made the investments to conform to all the required standards and have sought alternative temporary options that would make, in a responsible manner, the carrying out of its activities viable. As the industry has great potential, it is possible that in the future the company will make the necessary investments and adjustments, which are inherent in the market in which it operates.
