Abstract:
People Management is a topic that has taken significant importance within organizations,
addressing the human being as the main gear for its operation, because it is impossible to
think of a company by exercising their functions without thinking about the people who
comprise it and make it work. The lack of knowledge of managers under the techniques and
practices of people management is reflected negatively on activities of any type of company.
In this context, noting the growth of the number of micro and small enterprises and their
importance to the market, along with the expansion of the civil construction sector, and
especially as it is applied to the management of people in these types of companies, it is the
central point of this research. Therefore, this study aims to propose a diagnosis people
management Polaris Construction. Methodological aspects in the research is characterized as
being of nature and applied research on the objectives is classified as exploratory and
descriptive addressed in form of case study . It was adopted as an instrument of data
collection interview with the managers and operators of the company. The method of analysis
of the research is how both qualitative. The results of the research demonstrate that the
company Polaris Constructions has activities of people management as a function of line and
staff in its operation such as: motivation, leadership, communication, team work, recruitment
selection, hygiene and safety at work, among others. But some of these activities are gaps and
there is also a lack of key activities for the successful development of the company. Through
the analysis of results and following the suggestions of this research enterprise Polaris
Buildings can correct and improve their way of managing people.
