Resumo:
The present work is part of the effort to understand the changes in agricultural organization in the Cariri region of the West, from the actors/agents called "rural entrepreneurs" that appear as new agents agrarian and economic, if integrating the market with new production techniques, seeking investment opportunities in farming activities, including new development processes, from a new productive logic. The Cariri region West has been the scene of several speeches about social transformations and the observation of some efforts to modernize the agricultural activity, led by what we believe to be the consolidation of a group of rural entrepreneurs, who develop agricultural activities in rural properties as a category, is of family farmers, whether of the old landlords. On the basis of contributions that methodological outline a debate about the transformations that have occurred in the rural world addressing the transformation from the modernization of agriculture, as well as the emergence of entrepreneurs, the example of Florestan Fernandes (1963) and Mary of Nazareth Wanderley (2011), Cunha (2009) and Maia (2013) that are forcing us to agribusiness sertanejo, (re) pecuarização and the conversion of production, which will be present in that we treat as land use change and transformation of the countryside.
