Resumo:
The importance of the study of organizational culture is essential due to its ability to influence guiding aspects for achieving the business objectives. This research aims at analyzing the Brazilian organizational culture features through the understanding of pillars, power, relations and flexibility in Tanure et al (2007) viewpoint. As to methodological terms, this research is characterized as qualitative, descriptive, in which a semi-structured interview was used in order to collect data. The subjects of this research were all employees who work effectively in the organization. The presentation of the results shows that regarding power, the enterprise organizational culture has a decentralized position concerning operational level; however what prevails is centralization in the head office power, hampering the agility in the process and the employees’ commitment. As to relations, it was identified that the employees profile is inclined to collective behavior, in which affection, cooperation and employees appreciation are valued in the company, and however, this reality gives rise to favoritism. Lastly, with respect to flexibility, it was identified that among established parameters, the manager is able to be flexible in the branch administration with regards to operational tasks, allowing the employees to be free in order for them to be creative and adaptive. However this flexibility can cause a negative effect by using the "Brazilian way", and then trending to a non-fulfillment of activities.
