Resumen:
The main purpose of this graduation completion work is to describe the competition
organizational environment of Eletronor Materiais Elétricos Ltda strategy along its
business trajectory, between 1996 and 2009. For that, some specific goals were defined,
which were: describe the macro environment, describe the sectorial environment and
describe the internal environment of the organization. The theoretical grounding
discusses the strategic management, specially the external and internal environments.
Besides that, the methodology indicates a qualitative case study, which is also a
descriptive and applied research. For that case study, data collection was done by means
of observation, business associates interviews, and also by document analysis. The
result of this collection is presented as a clear definition of three distinct organizational
phases, in which the main changes originated by the internal and external environment
are highlighted, revealing the organizational behavior along the investigated period. As
a result, this research shows that the organization environment is responsible for most of
the changes in Eletronor , in a way that it is possible to evolve by associating their
capacities with the opportunities created by those changes. On the other hand, it is
possible Eletronor to reach a decay situation as a consequence from not mitigating
threats, as emphasized in the case study.
