Resumen:
The growth of the sensibility to environmental issues, accompanied by the shares of companies and governments in pursuit of minimizing impacts to the environment in which they operate are factors current conditions for achieving a satisfactory level of competitive edge in the world today. From this initial placement, this research aims to verify the structure, mode of operation and results of the reverse channel recycling company TECQUÍMICA. The main theoretical inputs used were the model of Reverse Logistics of Leite (2009), which defines and presents the steps of recycling, which was sort of reverse channel studied in this work, characterizing how the logistics activities of supply and distribution are important for the proper performance of recycling processes. With respect to the methodological procedures, this research is characterized as descriptive and case study. The research used primary data collected through interviews conducted by a semi-structured to describe the recycling process conducted by TECQUÍMICA and how logistics activities supply and distribution are performed in the company. Secondary data were used to characterize the activities of mining, notably to extraction and processing of quartzite in the city of Várzea-PB. The data was in a qualitatively. The main results enabled us to analyze the cycles of supply logistics activities, distribution and support to the productive process of TECQUÍMICA. Regarding supply, there are favorable conditions for the maintenance of recycling activities TECQUÍMICA, considering the importance that this process has to sawmill improving quartzite of the locality. In addition to this, all waste used in the process originates of donation received by sawmills, fitting TECQUIMICA collection activities and transportation of such waste to their headquarters. Regarding distribution activities, there are restrictions of the acceptance restrictions on large retail chains of the mortar "ecological" provided by TECQUÍMICA, but this condition can be considered common for new products and / or new brands. Besides this difficulty, a problem for the company is still to verify cost of transporting the waste from sawmills to the company, which is outsourced. Finally, it can identify economic contributions, social and environmental resulting from the implementation of the reverse channel recycling quartzite in the region. Among which stand out the generation of new jobs and business opportunities for the region, the generation of new jobs and business opportunities for the region attending to environmental standards for mining activities and the consequent reduction of the environmental impact caused by the waste disposal of mining.
