Résumé:
This monographic study on Diversity in School: gender, sexualities and etnicorraciais issues as challenges to teacher training was held in a school municipal network Vieirópolis - PB. We aimed to investigate teachers' knowledge about the diversity in the school from the experiences, challenges and opportunities faced in everyday school life. For this I try to identify what obstacles and possibilities of teachers in contact with diversity in the school; Reflect on which the contributions of teacher education to address the diversity in school and discuss what the role of the teacher facing the diversity of issues at school. The choice of this theme arose because of its relevance in the current studies on education and to be a subject that is part of day-to-day school environment, it is also a topic that interests me a lot of is related to my future field work. To support this argument I used as a theoretical basis the contribution of the following authors Junqueira (2009), Light (2009), Meyer (2007), Joca (2008), Jovino (2006), Santos (2006), Leal (2005), Novoa ( 2002) among others to discuss this theme. The approach used in this study was a literature and field research. Data collection was applied semi-structured interview as instrument, consisting of six questions addressed the issue. The participants were four teachers in the early years of elementary school. Before the research can be concluded that teacher training is one of the means for carrying out a practice that values differences inside and outside the school, where the school environment rejects any act of discrimination and prejudice existing. It is important to note that each and all have independent rights and duties of social class, race or ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and therefore the differences deserve to be valued, respected and accepted for the sake of good relations and ensuring the right to education .
