Resumen:
Inclusive education is the process of including people with special needs or some learning disorder in the regular network of education. When it comes to the search for an inclusive society, it is necessary to think about inclusion activities beyond the school environment. In order to understand this reality and to meet this challenge in the field of professional performance, in which she presents a student with Down Syndrome, as a general objective, this study sought to answer the following research problem: how does the process of inclusion of children with Down's Syndrome in a regular school of the public network of the municipality of Cajazeiras-PB, this research sought to analyze the school inclusion of a child with Down Syndrome in regular education, being delimited as a research focus the environment of the classroom of elementary school. For the collection of data, strategies of the methodology of qualitative approach were used, and to obtain data, the research used observation techniques and questionnaires to school educators. In this context and based on the specific objectives, it was chosen to describe the proposal of inclusion in the report on the inclusion conception of the professionals directly involved with the student Down Syndrome; to investigate the teaching performance in the work of inclusion of this child with Down Syndrome in the regular network of education. These contributions were relevant to a reflection on the inclusive process, considering its limitations and possibilities. The results pointed out that the inclusion of this child is idealized by the school, but its realization depends on a re-signification of the school system and especially on the concept of school inclusion conceived by education professionals. The intention of this research is not only to present a critique to the model of inclusion studied, but to offer subsidies that contribute to its effectiveness.
