Resumo:
The present study ethno-racial diversity: A look based on teaching practice was conducted
with the objective of analyze the teaching practice of educators of a public school located in
the town of São João do Rio do Peixe, in relation the thematic of racial diversity in school.
For the theoretical foundation and analysis were used the following authors: SILVA (2009);
RODRIGUÊS (2007); MUNANGA (2005); Giddens2012.The methodology undertaken for
well make the analysis of data collected through application of a questionnaire with…. semistructured
questions, was the field study, because it is the analysis of elements belonging to a
group of 08 participants, all teaching at the elementary school level I, in the same school. The
results showed that even being the 11 years of implementation of Law 10.639/03,little has still
been the pedagogics actions performed with the ethnic-racial thematic in schools. Thus, the
study demonstrates that there is much to be built in the school space, so that prejudiced and
racist attitudes are increasingly less present in our school and everyday social life. However, it
is expected that this work can to contribute to awareness the need of effectuation of
discussions around ethnic and racial issues in schools, as well as of Law nº 10.639/03,as part
of the pedagogical work of teachers.
