Resumo:
The inclusion has often returned to his elementary school and middle school look.
Gradually we see that this discussion is coming to higher education or universities.
This fact happens because people with disabilities are managing to break some
barriers to access in the first and second stage of schooling. However, the
development of this work we observed that the entry and stay in higher education is
still one of the more challenges to people with disabilities. Even having a law that
encompasses all and ensure the right to education, the poor, specifically the visual
faces attitudinal, architectural and communication barriers. From these questions, the
present study aimed to develop a study with a visually impaired student at a
university in order to verify as being the inclusion and the process of learning in
higher education in high Paraiba backwoods. It used for both a semi-structured
interview, containing questions about accessibility, material and human resources,
among others. As the survey results, it was observed, among other things, lack of
physical accessibility and materials; lack of human resources and training for
teachers to accompany students on their specific needs arising from visual
impairment.
