Abstract:
In an increasingly competitive ambience, complex and subject to numerous changes, organizations are incorporating the model of Competency Management to obtain a strategic differential in face of the market. Consequently, the demand for competent professionals who serve the needs of companies has been increasingly difficult. Such difficulty is also reflected in higher education institutions that have the duty of provide for the students the formation and development of appropriate competency for the workplace. The present research aims, through of the students, to check the contribution of the course of Administration from UFCG and UEPB in developing the competencies and skills required for vocational training by Resolution No. 4 of July 13, 2005. The research has quantitative and descriptive nature. To obtain data questionnaires were sent to graduating students, in which they had to give their opinion in respect to satisfaction or not regarding the formation of these required competencies. For data analysis, groups were divided and compared to observe if there was a disparity between the students groups from UFCG and UEPB. It was noted in the questionnaire that the graduating students of the two institutions are satisfied with the course in general. Preliminary results indicate that the investigated competencies have indeed been valued by the institution, although some have proved less worked: skill and knowledge to analyze the production process; skill to communicate; skill to develop mathematical logical reasoning; skill and knowledge to doing consultancy.
