Thus, the problem of this study is to investigate what contributions the use of music provides to children integral development in the pre-school phase of a municipal school of Cajazeiras, state of Paraíba. The general objective of this research was to analyze the contributions the use of music brings to children integral development in the Pre-school phase of a municipal school of the mentioned city. We will also, from the available literature of other authors in the educational area, discuss the contributions that music propitiates for the teaching-learning process of the child contemplating in a playful way. Regarding the methodology, this study was carried out through a bibliographical and field research, observation and semi-structured interview, having a qualitative character. The results show that the applicability of music is restricted in the education of children since we evidenced the school lack of financial resources, which affects directly the planning of the teachers' classes, making their work more difficult throughout the teaching and learning process. However, it is noticeable that there is an effort the teachers show in introducing music in its methodology contemplating a teaching with playfulness in its integral development.
