Resumo:
This work aims at analyzing the perception of the workers of one of Caixa Econômica Federal
agencies in relation to the social responsibility management conducted by the enterprise. The
present work brings up the exercise of entrepreneur social responsibility, revealing its
importance in the contemporary world, its benefits and advantages. Initially, it has been
researched its close relation with ethics, per passing over the concept and evolution aspects of
the theme. It has also been analyzed how this management model is intrinsic in the
enterprise’s philosophy and if it has been providing competitive advantage. Caixa Econômica
Federal is the biggest public bank in Latin America. The institution has been obtaining
position in relation to environmental and social projects implantation, sports and culture – a
fact that motivated even more the interest of study this organization. The technical procedure
of the research is classified as a case study, under a qualitative approach; besides, it has been
made a bibliographic review of the theme. As an instrument for data collecting it has been
used the application of a questionnaire among the staff from one of the enterprise’s agency.
The analyzed results have been confronted with the theoretical research, making it possible to
understand its staff point of view in relation to the topic of the study, and to conclude that the
investigated organization is committed in a effective way with the promotion of sustainable
development, always looking for making compatible the good economical performance with
social and environmental causes. It is a new way for the organizations, where there is still a
long way to go.
