Resumen:
The objective of this monograph is to analyse gradation in the spaces of knowledge creation
through the SECI methodology described by Nonaka and Takeuchi (1997), at the Caixa
Econômica Federal agency in Esperança-PB, that is, to analyse which are the kinds and
quantities of spaces (ba) dedicated to socialization, externalization, combination and
internalization of existing knowledge at such a corporation, so that SECI methodology may be
presented to managers being interviewed and they can spread it within the whole corporation
and include it in products, services and systems. A review of the main concepts of Knowledge
Management was initially applied, and then the results of the study were shown and analysed.
Final considerations were taken afterwards. The directions followed by the author to build the
study were also presented, that is, the methodologic procedures which characterize the study
as being descriptive and qualitative. It is seen as a case study from the perspective of technical
procedures. One will be able to tell if the knowledge is really important for the Caixa
Econômica Federal agency in esperança-PB, through the view of its managers, according to
the analysis of knowledge creation by SECI methodology by Nonaka and Takeuchi (1997).
