Morbidades em função das variáveis meteorológicas em Campina Grande, PB.

Abstract

The changes which occur in the meteorological variables over a region are seen as an important factor by the meteorological experts. In fact it is observed that these changes influence not only the microclimate of these regions but they also, cause a considerable variation in respect to related diseases. The diseases, which occur due to these meteorological variations, are increasing day by day, and amongst the population more affected by the morbidity are mainly the old and children ones that have less immunity. This work used meteorological data collected at the station from “INMET” located in the “EMBRAPA Algodão” in the City of Campina Grande - 07º13’ S; 35º53’ W; 543 meters high - and information about diseases are obtained from the health department of the city from the program called PSF (Family Health Program) which demonstrates correlations with the variables. Using Principal Components Analysis – PCA it was found some relations that pointed out through possible correlations with the dependent and independent variables which shows evidences that the climate influences the studied diseases.
