The objective was to make a diagnosis of precipitation (PRP), in homogeneous regions of Bahia and relate them to the Sea Surface Temperatures (SST) in the monitored areas of the Pacific Equatorial and Tropical Atlantic Oceans. As well as emphasize the generators atmospheric mechanisms of rainfall in the state. For this, we used the Transform of Wavelet (TW) technique to the climatological time series of rainfall in the state and SST in the areas of the equatorial Pacific and tropical Atlantic. The results of applying TW precipitation showed that the overall spectrum of energy wavelet the annual cycle is dominant in all the Homogeneous Regions (HR). In addition to the annual scale, there were interactions with time scales (intraseasonal, semiannual, two-year and ten-year). TW also showed that not all have the same HR rain system. And also that the State of Bahia practically rains all year in some HR, mainly in the south and southeast regions, favored by the performance of different weather systems, such as South American Convergence Zone (SACZ), Vortex Cyclonic of High Levels (VCHL), Front System (FS). Correlations between SST and PRP showed that both El Niño and the Atlantic dipole play an important role in the rain production in the state. It is worth noting that the dipole is a major rain inducers in northeastern Bahia.
