Resumen:
The objective of this work was to investigate the learning difficulties of students of Adult and Young
Adult Education (EJA) in relation to their adaptation in the teaching modality. For this purpose, it was
held at the Orlando Venâncio dos Santos Integral Citizen School with 45 students distributed in 5
classrooms with a selection of students aged 18-35. All classrooms with cycles 1 and 2 correspond to the
series from 1st to 3rd year of high school. Considering this, this is characterized as a field survey, which
had the questionnaire as a data collection instrument, was applied 2 questionnaire, the first one with open
and closed questions and the second questionnaire with multiple choice questions thus enabling the
confirmation of the data, as a consequence, confirmation of these results obtained in the process. The
results indicate that there is a much greater demand of students for the EJA due to the "ease" that this
modality of teaching offers in the sense of scheduling and reduced study, but still points out greater
difficulties for those who have been out of school for longer. It should be stressed that the relevance of
this research lies in the fact that the teachers of the school have a concrete investigation of what happens
in such an environment, giving them the opportunity to seek possible solutions to solve the obstacles
faced by students of Youth and Adult Education.
