Resumen:
Cannabis sativa has different medicinal properties, with conceptions and judgments throughout
human history. These changes were mainly due to the economic, social, religious and cultural
factors that, together, had a negative influence on their use. With scientific evidence, new
directions were taken to meet the demands of people, that seek more effective therapies, and it
is important to stress the importance of this, just as politics can be useful to reduce the
bureaucracy of the system. Based on this, this work presents as medicinal properties of
Cannabis sativa, besides those that are not involved in health, as the choice of a political place,
and that can imply in individual and collective health. To achieve this objective, an integrative
and quantitative-qualitative review methodology was adopted on the subject, carrying out a
survey of data from the literature, between 1996 and 2018. The total was 65, with these 29
articles, 27 sites and 9 books. In Brazil, a great capacity to be evaluated and scientific
investigations are helping in this. Still, most people are demonstrating contrary to an attitude.
Disinformation is the main obstacle, but some information-generating tools, such as the media,
can contribute to change. To conclude, positive marijuana awareness is exposed in this paper,
as the need to make drugs and politics is the best way to solve this problem. The increase to
consumption may be the outcome and actions of health and social recovery the possible
advance. The work also reveals the need for discrimination, and subsequently, the legalization
of all drugs, communication between narcotics and users, strengthening public health,
preventive and critical prevention.
